Paralimini
Paralimni nr Protaras
![]() 24 hr Bakeries Just a few minutes drive away from Crystal View Apartments you will reach the nearest town Paralimni with three large supermarkets (Carrefour, Orphanides and Kokkinos) and 24 hour bakeries and some rather charming Restaurants and Cafes dotted around the main square as well as along the main street you will find plenty of places to eat or to shop if you are self catering. ![]() Boutiques Paralimini seems to be a very up and coming town and if you follow the main 1st April Street towards Dherinia you will discover some delightful specialist shops, fashionable dress boutiques and elegant shoe shops springing up along the way and also a very smart and fashionable “stone grill restaurant” there is also a Marks & Spencers in Paralimni and many of the local inhabitants of the smaller villages come to Paralimni to shop rather than going to Nicosia. Paralimni is a great base to stay. You are just minutes away by car from many quiet and secluded sandy bays and beaches as well as being only a few minutes away from Kapparas and the seaside resort of Protaras. It is also the perfect base if you want to explore both the North and South of Cyprus and you can see the “Farmagusta Ghost Town” (which has now become a tourist attraction in it’s own right) in the distance. You will also be able to take a boat trip that will include views of the “Farmagusta Ghost Town” from the Sea.
You can Hire a car or quad bikes or open framed cars, 4×4 off road vehicles, Motor Bikes, Motor Scooters and Bicycles. Kapparis
Kapparis is a much smaller resort but still boasts excellent Restaurants, bars and Tavernas and also mini markets most of which are open all year round. Here you will find Ayia Triada by a sandy beach and fishing shelter. ProtarasThis is an excellent Resort with Beautiful Sandy Beaches and Many Superb Restaurants, Cafes, Shops, Night Clubs and Pubs. Most of the beaches offer Umberellas and Sun Beds for hire although there is usually plenty of space to just place your towel or beach mat and save yourself a few Euros. If you do find that the beaches are a little busier in the Summer months then just drive along the coast a little to the quieter beaches nearer to Kapparis and Parlimni. Ayia NapaAyia Napa is about 15 minutes drive away by car and Nissi Beach is well worth a visit to view the Crystal Clear Turquoise blue sea and the “Young Beautiful People” and fantastic water activities on offer. You will find many “fake” designer goods on sale here at a fraction of the cost of the real thing and these seem to be very popular and apparently difficult to tell from the real thing. The Water Park is also well worth a visit and offers some fantastic Water Fun for all. Cape Greco has some fantastic views and just a little further along you will find a tiny little white church which is very popular for weddings going by all the coloured confetti, rice and streamers we saw. There are some steps leading down to a cave just by this church and a bit further along a picnic area offering barbeque facilities for you to enjoy a family barbeque. The landscape around here is almost Lunar in appearance with some interesting rock formations and offers an excellent off road experience for quad bikes and 4 x 4’s. You can manage in a Saloon car too but it looks far more fun to use an open framed vehicle. |

You can go Parasailing, Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Swimming, Sit on a Sofa and be pulled along at speed behind a boat or have a Banana Ride. You can hire a pedelo with water slide to take out or go jet skiing or water skiing or just enjoy lying on the beach and Sunbathing. Snorkelling is enjoyed by many people of all ages including the more mature or novice snorkelers and the many gentle clear waters of the bays make this very popular. Also popular are the Glass bottom boat trips or hiring a boat for the afternoon.
